16th FEBRUARY 2018 - CHINESE NEW YEAR - YEAR OF THE DOG

01st MARCH 2018 - MAKHA BUCHA DAY, which falls on the full moon of the third lunar month, commemorates the Buddha’s ordaining of
1,250 monks who had arrived unannounced from afar only seven months after the Buddha began his teachings. It is also the date the Buddha
delivered his Fundamental Teachings - just months before his death.

25th MARCH 2018 - THAILAND DOES NOT HAVE A DAYLIGHT SAVING PROGRAMME - THEREFORE CLOCKS ARE NOT PUT
FORWARD ONE HOUR.

06th APRIL 2018 - CHAKRI DAY commemorates the origins of the Chakri dynasty, founded by Rama I since 1782, who established Bangkok as
the nation’s capital. HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej is the ninth monarch of the Chakri dynasty.

13th - 17th APRIL 2018 - SONGKRAN (Thai New Year). Also known as the Water Festival. Held during the driest months in Thailand, Songkran
is celebrated by Thais throughout the country by pouring – traditionally only a little, but these days a lot – of water on other people to wish them
good luck for the New Year.

01st MAY 2018 - LABOUR DAY - Public holiday for all commercial workers, but government offices will remain open.

11th MAY 2018 - The annual Royal Ploughing Ceremony usually takes place in May every year at Sanam Luang, near the Grand Palace in
Bangkok. The ceremony has been performed since ancient times and is designed to give an auspicious beginning to the new planting season,
amid hopes and wishes for an abundant harvest.

29th MAY 2018 - VISAKHA BUCHA DAY is observed on the day of the full moon during the 6th lunar month, which usually falls in either May or
early June. It is a day to commemorate three important events: the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away of the Buddha. Miraculously,
these events fell in the same month and on the same date in the Buddhist era.

27th JULY 2018 - ASARNA BUCHA (START OF BUDDHIST LENT) - This full-moon day of the eighth lunar month commemorates
the Buddha's first sermon to his first five disciples after attaining Enlightenment more than 2,500 years ago. Evening candlelit
processions are staged in all Thai Buddhist temples.

30th JULY 2018 - H.M. KINGS BIRTHDAY) - Maha Vajiralongkorn

03rd AUGUST 2018 - KHAO PANSAA - Occurs one day after the full-moon day of the eighth lunar month (Asarnha Bucha). Khao
Pansa marks the beginning of the annual three-month Rains Retreat during which Buddhist monks customarily stay at a
particular temple to study and meditate. The monks are not allowed to stay overnight at any other location during this
period.A candle festival is held annually on this day. Sculpted beeswax candles, generally depicting mythological creatures,
are carried in a ceremonial parade in each province before being presented to local temples.

12th AUGUST 2018 - HM THE QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY - PUBLIC HOLIDAY- ALSO MOTHER'S DAY ( H.M THE QUEEN SIRIKIT, BORN
1932, WAS MARRIED TO KING BHUMIBHOL IN 1950.)

15th OCTOBER 2018 - THE PASSING OF KING BHUMIBOL.

23rd OCTOBER 2018 - CHULALONGKORN DAY ( KING CHULALONGKORN, ALSO KNOWN AS RAMA V, RULED THE SIAMESE EMPIRE
DURING THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19th CENTURY AND THE FIRST DECADE OF THE 20th CENTURY, AND IS STILL HIGHLY
RESPECTED AS THE GREAT MODERNIZER

28th OCTOBER 2018 - THAILAND DOES NOT HAVE A DAYLIGHT SAVING PROGRAMME - THEREFORE CLOCKS ARE NOT PUT
BACK ONE HOUR.

14th NOVEMBER 2018 - LOY KRATHONG -One of the most beautiful festivals in Thailand. It is traditionally performed on the full
moon night of the twelfth lunar month, which usually falls in November. A Krathong is a banana-leaf cup containing flowers, a
candle and incense sticks which will be floated away in a canal or river.The idea is to worship the river's Goddess and at the
same time to float away any bad luck.

05th DECEMBER 2018 - FATHER'S DAY ( THAILAND'S KING BHUMIBHOL
ADULYADEJ, BORN IN 1927, IS ALSO KNOWN AS RAMA IX. HM THE KING BHUMIBHOL WAS THE WORLD'S LONGEST REIGNING
MONARCH AND CELEBRATED THE 60th ANNIVERSARY OF HIS CORONATION IN 2006.)

31st DECEMBER 2018 - NEW YEARS EVE - GALA DINNERS ON THE BEACHES WITH FIREWORK DISPLAYS
